Pinstripe suits
The
pinstripe suit is one of the most distinctive, stylish and elegant outfits that a gentleman should have in his wardrobe. It is the quintessential suit.
Its use is indicated and recommended primarily for working environments, it is not suitable for some formal events like a religious ceremony or public events of some significance. Nor is it advisable to dress as a casual look in a relaxed atmosphere.
However, with the rise of alternative and / or civil weddings, from Ottavio Nuccio we recommend its use for these very different and distinctive events.
The
pinstripe suit can be made single or double breasted, the latter being the most distinguished. Regarding the colors, the most common are gray and dark blue, but can also be found in tailoring made in black, brown, camel or green.
Its features vertical lines may vary in thickness and line spacing, giving each a distinct character, being more sober and elegant the more they are smaller and joint and maybe a little rougher the more the reverse.
The quality of a
pinstripe suit lies, apart from the fabric composition, the making (hand or not) and the cutting, of the fact that the lines in the seams must match and be symmetrical and equal in different parts of the suit, both front and back and legs and lapels.
To combine a
pinstripe suit, we recommend maximum simplicity on the shirt that can be also well striped, but with different geometric shape, mycrodesigns or solid.
Regarding the tie, the same recommendation on shirts, nor particularly striking and grotesque: stripes, dots, POW, houndstooth or
mycrodesigns. For full success: plain.
If you want to get out the rule and get an original effect, we suggest that you combine a great
pinstripe suit with a awesome bow tie.
